12 August 2009 Instant span cleans up
at Belfast's Park avenue hotel
The Park Avenue Hotel, one of Northern Ireland's leading four star hotels commissioned Ridgeway Plant of Belfast to supply and erect a façade access system which will be used to give the hotel's façade a summer facelift. The hotel which is located in the vibrant Belmont area of Belfast, less than 2 miles from Belfast City Hall, wanted to clean its act up this summer by giving the complete façade of the building a power wash and a lick of fresh paint. The project is estimated to take two to three weeks to complete.
As preferred suppliers to the Park Avenue Hotel, Ridgeway Plant supplied and erected the Instant Span System. Constructed from heavy-duty, lightweight aluminium, Span 400 is easy to handle and fast to erect. Taking a team of just 4 assemblers the 8 metre façade (each side was a run of circa 30m) took just 1 day to complete - almost half the time it would have taken to erect a traditional steel scaffold.
Ridgeway's Marketing Manager explains, "The alternative solution was steel scaffold which would have been considerably costlier and would have had weight implications for the supporting roof. Instant's System F can provide the hotel contractor with a safe and effective work platform at less cost".
